APP ( NP or PA) - Family Medicine - Rocky Mount
About The Position
Carilion Family Medicine- Rocky Mount has a full time Advanced Practice Provider ( NP or PA) opportunity available. The APP will assist physicians and other nursing personnel in the delivery of primary health care and patient care. Duties include, but are not limited to: Assess, plan and provide care to pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Perform patient examinations, compile appropriate patient information and documentation. Review patient reports and make appropriate recommendations and refill medications. Prefer 2 years experience of seeing and treating patients independently. Monday-Friday, 8-5.
Requirements
- Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
- AHA BLS-HCP certification required.
- Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
- Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers.
- Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills.
- Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
Nice To Haves
- Prefer 2 years experience of seeing and treating patients independently.
- Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
