About The Position
APP ( NP or PA) Family & Internal Medicine - Martinsville, VA- 21 K sign on bonus and NHSC Approved Site Carilion Clinic is seeking a compassionate and skilled APP's ( NP or PA) to join Carilion Internal Medicine in Christiansburg, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity to practice high-quality, patient-centered internal medicine within a collaborative and well-established healthcare system. Position Overview The APP will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult patients in an outpatient internal medicine setting. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, clinically strong, and committed to delivering exceptional care across a diverse patient population.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia (or eligibility)
- National board certification
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Education: Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Experience: 0
- Licensure/Certification: Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required. AHA BLS-HCP certification required. Advanced Life Support certification preferred. Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with State regulations and as authorized by the Virginia Boards of Nursing and Medicine.
- Minimum qualifications: Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.

- Previous internal medicine or primary care experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions
- Perform health assessments, preventive care, and patient education
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and care team members
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
