About The Position

Bronson Healthcare is seeking a NP/PA to join our growing Infectious Disease program in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The position involves working alongside 2 Physicians and 1 other APP to provide comprehensive Infectious Diseases services in the inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have Infectious disease experience and will maintain a collaborative relationship with other medical specialties, as well as with hospital epidemiology and Infection prevention teams. This is a hospital-employed position primarily focused on inpatient service, working Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with shared call responsibilities with other providers. The position utilizes EPIC EMR, which is fully integrated within the Bronson Healthcare system.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• Current unrestricted or pending Licensure in the state of Michigan.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate and quality patient-centered care.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Infectious Disease.
• Ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical examinations.
• Interpret laboratory and radiologic tests.
• Formulate a diagnosis based on subjective and objective patient data.
• Develop treatment plans under the direction of the physician.
• Coordinate care with the multi-disciplinary team to facilitate patient outcomes.
• Evaluate and manage patients appropriately.
• Complete necessary documentation for billing and medical care.
• Assist in the development and integration of quality measures into clinical practice.
