About The Position

We invite Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners to discover all that we can do when we bring healing hearts, inquisitive minds, and visionaries together in our Infectious Disease Team at Atrium Health in Kenilworth, North Carolina. This position is 100% Adult medicine and is a hybrid position with a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM clinic schedule. Weekday hours only, with no night call required (Saturday/Sunday only as needed for infusion). The setting includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, and the practice model includes 19 physicians, 3 APPs, 7 RNs, 4 CMAs, 6 Ryan White support staff, and 5 clerical staff.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
• For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited program with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• For Acute Care Nurse Practitioners: Master's or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required, valid RN license with acute care board certification, and certification in the area of practice from a nationally recognized certifying body.
• Must hold or be eligible for licensure in North Carolina.
• New graduates will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Work collaboratively with a team of physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Manage adult medicine cases in the Infectious Disease specialty.
