About The Position

We have an APP opening for a DAY hospitalist with our Hospitalist Team at General Physician, PC. It is a team of almost 100 providers covering 2 of our sites. Currently, General Physician, P.C. is seeking an experienced APP to support our Internal Medicine team. The APP will provide care for approximately 12-15 patients per day for a full-time opportunity. This position will allow for an APP to work independently alongside a physician and additional support staff. The provider will also be expected to diagnose and treat common inpatient medical conditions, order and interpret labs and imaging, form medical treatment plans, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, and admission orders. The position is for approximately 12, 12-hour shifts per month and does include variable weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of inpatient medicine experience preferred
• Patient-driven, inquisitive, compassionate, independent and dedicated to improving the health of patients
• Graduate of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
• Board-certified
• DEA
• New York State License

Responsibilities
