About The Position

Are you an energetic and flexible Advanced Practice Provider (physician associate [PA]or nurse practitioner [NP]) with a few years of experience looking for a fun and exciting opportunity and a chance to do something a little more with that experience? If so, come join our team! Health West Inc. is currently looking for a float provider to provide various healthcare-related services for our patients. What is expected of a float provider? The following is a unique set of expectations: A float provider is just what it sounds like a provider that floats between clinics, filling in where needed. This provider may not be in the same clinic every day or may end up several weeks in a single clinic before moving to a different one. Regardless of the schedule, they will not have a home clinic. In conjunction with this, the float provider must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel during the summer and the winter anywhere from Preston, Idaho, in the south, to Aberdeen, Idaho, in the West. Mileage is reimbursed. Hours: Negotiable but anywhere between 32 to 40 hours per week. This person must have a solid work ethic and be flexible in how they approach new challenges. They must be comfortable enough with their clinical skills that they can practice independently with help available via phone or text as they may not always be side by side with another healthcare provider in the clinic they are working. A physician associate would have the appropriate supervision as required within the practice standards as approved by the Idaho State Board of Medicine and indicated in Chapter C, Rules and Regulations for Physician Associates.
