We are searching for highly motivated individuals to join one of the nation's first training and onboarding programs tailored specifically for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. This two-year program is your gateway to a transformative career in healthcare innovation. You'll receive extensive training in Clinical Informatics, all while being part of a collaborative cohort of like-minded professionals. Spend 25% of your time dedicated to in-depth informatics training, transitioning to key administrative responsibilities within our informatics program. The remaining 75% will be spent practicing within the specialty of your choice, directly applying informatics tools and principles to enhance clinical outcomes and elevate patient care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Masters/Doctoral degree preferred.
  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant CT license.
  • Current certification and Federal DEA license required.
  • 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner APRN.
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR.
  • Demonstrating ability to positively interact with medical/nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and quality improvement projects.
  • Familiarity and interest in using data analytics and reporting tools (Tableau) to improve patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of clinical informatics, including data analysis, system implementation, user training, and policy development.
  • Obtain your Certificate in Clinical Informatics at Sacred Heart University through remote learning.
  • Collaborate with cohort members on projects and case studies that reflect real-world challenges.
  • Implement and optimize clinical information systems across Hartford Healthcare facilities.
  • Analyze healthcare data to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiencies.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff and IT departments to enhance system usability and effectiveness.
  • Educate and train healthcare providers on new technologies and informatics practices.
