  • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that enable communication between different software systems.
  • Define and document API specifications, endpoints, data models, and protocols - REST, GraphQL.
  • Build and implement APIs using programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Python.
  • Ensure seamless integration of APIs with internal and external systems, applications, and third-party services.
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for APIs. Debug and resolve issues to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Create and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation for API consumers, including usage examples and best practices.
  • Work closely with front-end and back-end developers, architects, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements based on user feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years professional experience.
  • Experience with Java (SpringBoot and/or SpringBatch framework), SQL, and REST webservices.
  • Hands-on exposure to AWS Cloud.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role.
  • Operate under a hybrid system requiring residence within a commutable distance to one of the US Delivery Center locations: Gilbert, Lake Mary, or Mechanicsburg.
  • Spend up to 30% of working time co-located at an assigned office for orchestrated opportunities, including projects, practice sessions, training, and Moments That Matter at a Deloitte Delivery Center location, Geo-Hub location, approved site, or project location.
  • Travel Requirement: Maximum of 10% overnight travel for client or project purposes.
  • Experience with GitHub, Jaeger, GitHub Actions, or Git Releases.
  • Exposure to and/or use of Oracle, RDS, Document DBs (DynamoDB, MongoDB), and Python.
  • Containerization experience using Docker, Kubernetes, or Helm.
  • Experience with Backstage.io, Open API, or OpenTracing.
