As a division of Sletten Construction, SCC offers benefits unmatched in the inspection industry. POSITION SUMMARY: Assist in integrity management of client assets throughout the Bakken Region. Perform inspections on pressure vessel, piping, and/or above ground storage tank equipment for the purpose of certifying compliance and/or recommending and approving repairs in accordance with API standards.

Requirements

  • Possess an API 510 certification with at least one year of related experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, technical school or college credits preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel with ability to write detailed inspection reports.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to perform without consistent supervision
  • Must be willing to relocate or prepared to spend a minimum of 80% of working time in North Dakota
  • Must have the ability to lift and carry 35 pounds.
  • Capable of climbing and working in confined spaces as necessary.
  • Must be able to walk and climb to maneuver within a refinery or plant environment to include the ability to gain access to elevated platforms via ladders and stairwells.
  • Must have sufficient clarity of speech and hearing or other communication capabilities, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must have sufficient vision or other powers of observation, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must have sufficient manual dexterity, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with PCMS and/or other integrity management programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain the mechanical integrity of the fixed equipment of the refinery.
  • Perform visual inspection of completed work and recommend and approve repairs.
  • Assist in the scheduling of activities related to inspection.
  • Update inspection information in client computer systems.
  • Properly use and complete customer and company job related programs and paperwork.
  • Complete all required training, including tests, within Company guidelines.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
  • Prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
  • Deliver accurate and completed reports in an efficient manner.
  • Manage and assist NDT crews as necessary.
