About The Position

Acuren is seeking a qualified API 510/570 inspector to perform visual and non-destructive examinations of pressure retaining equipment in accordance with API and ASME standards. The role involves providing technical reports and recommendations to clients regarding equipment condition and necessary repairs, while ensuring compliance with safety practices.

Requirements

  • Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570
  • 5 - 10 years' experience or 2+ years on-site experience
  • In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards
  • Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers
  • Additional API 653 or CWI certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and non-destructive examination of static and dynamic pressure retaining equipment according to API standards.
  • Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition to clients.
  • Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and alteration of plant equipment.
  • Offer technical input on welding and metallurgical issues as required by clients.
  • Guide clients on the application of non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
  • Comply with all Acuren and client safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
  • Willingness to travel if needed.
