About The Position

The Apartment Service Technician at Morguard is responsible for performing various hands-on maintenance duties to ensure the upkeep and enhancement of the community's value. This role involves diagnosing and repairing issues in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and more, while also handling resident service requests and preparing vacant apartments for new tenants.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of residential maintenance experience including work orders and make ready turns.
• Basic to moderate electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repairs and general maintenance skills.
• EPA Universal certification is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance.
• Prepares vacant apartment homes for leasing by completing inspections and creating maintenance punch lists.
• Tracks inventory of materials and supplies used for maintenance tasks and notifies supervisors of re-ordering needs.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Participates in the quarterly preventative maintenance program and accommodates an after-hours emergency on-call schedule.
