About The Position

We're hiring an APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME) YEAR ROUND STABLE WORK! join our awesome team in Topeka Kansas at Villa West Apartments. This hands on job will deal with make-readies, work-orders, grounds, and shared on-call (every 3rd week). Monarch appreciates and VALUES our people! We can't do it without great people like YOU! Requirements

2+ years’ experience in maintenance or equivalent
6+ months experience in apartment maintenance
Dry walling including painting and carpentry
Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
Some knowledge of HVAC and/or boiler system knowledge required (where applicable)
Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas
Problem solving skills
Be able to provide great customer service to our residents
Have basic safety training or be willing to go through basic training within 30/days
“A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process.

Nice To Haves

Housing inspection experience preferred (not required)

Responsibilities

Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
Manage and adapt a preventative maintenance program
Exterior structural maintenance as needed
Managing coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone
Snow removal (when applicable)
Pool maintenance (where applicable)
