About The Position
Smartland, a Cleveland-based owner and operator of apartment communities and single-family homes, is hiring a Grounds Crew Member to help keep our properties (Garfield Hts. or Shaker Hts) clean, safe, and welcoming. If you enjoy hands-on work, being outdoors, and seeing the results of your effort every day, this role is for you. Your work directly impacts curb appeal, safety, and resident satisfaction.
Requirements
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors year-round
- Valid Ohio driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
Responsibilities
- Keep grounds, walkways, and parking areas clean and safe
- Remove trash and debris from common areas
- Handle seasonal work: snow removal, salting, ice management
- Operate equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.)
- Move materials, appliances, and supplies as needed
- Report hazards or property issues promptly
- Support maintenance team with general labor
