AP & Food Safety Auditor Job Purpose Responsible for inspecting and verifying compliance with food safety, sanitation and ensuring operational practices are being executed to SEG standards in assigned stores. The auditor will provide training to store personnel as needed. Essential Responsibilities Responsibility % Of Time Inspect assigned retail locations, evaluate, report out and score processes associated with food safety, pharmacy, retail success processes using current audit standards. Input audit results, to include detailed notes into the APIN database. Provide documented audit results to store, district leadership and manager, total loss, notify the specialist, asset protection, of control break downs or theft activity as identified. Report serious deficiencies of regulatory compliance violations and/or occupational fraud. Work with manager to develop action plan for audit findings. Meet with store manager and key associates, review audit results and assist with action plans. 40% Ensure the appropriate food safety practices are followed, provide “on the spot’ training and coaching and job aids and provide training materials are available and verified. 40% Work to identify the root cause on all failed regulatory inspections and coordinate follow-up to ensure corrective action plans are implemented. Work with higher level auditors to develop investigative skill set. Respond as directed to address critical incidents (weather related events, fires, natural disasters) and support stores by identifying what product is ‘food safe’ and ensure proper disposition and accountability throughout the recovery process. 10% Facilitate onsite food manager certification training to designated store representatives. Conduct individual training clinics for store management as warranted. Participate in DM/RVP conference calls for improvement in food safety standards, DOA results, and most frequent failed audit processes. 10% Disclaimer Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4 Yrs Relevant Experience Criminal justice, business administration, or related
  • Possess a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain Professional Food Manager Certifications within 90 days of onboarding.
  • Ability to obtain company provided Food Safety Manage Certifications and train others.
  • Proficient in forensic audit tasks and investigations.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree Criminal justice, business administration, or related
  • Supervisory Experience 0 -3 yrs minimum No Supervisory Experience
  • Leadership and education/coaching skill sets.
  • Strong ability to coach and train others.
  • Professional Food Manager Certifications.
  • Possess any of the following RS, HACCP Certified, REHS or SQF certified.
