AP Economics and SAT/ACT Prep Tutor
About The Position

We assist with multiple educational needs such as College Test Prep, AP Exam, College Essay, and College Admissions. In addition, we offer tutoring for K-12 and AP/Summer Boot Camps. Job Purpose: To provide high-quality, part-time instruction to students, following C2 Educational Systems Inc.'s curriculum and educational philosophy. This role focuses on fostering a positive learning environment and supporting student academic growth and development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.).
- Excited about working with families and students to achieve their goals.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- C2 Education Reading/Writing Qualifying Exam score placing the candidate in the 95th percentile. The qualifying exam can be waived if the candidate can supply an official score report for the SAT Reading/Writing or ACT Reading/English from the last 10 years that meets the threshold.
- Ability to teach at least two AP Level Humanities courses. Teaching proficiency will be measured through qualifying testing or an existing AP score from the last 10 years.
- Must have a private, quiet location from which to teach virtual tutoring sessions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and virtual teaching tools.
Nice To Haves
- Foreign Language preferences for Spanish and French through AP level
- AP-level knowledge in one subject area.
- Previous teaching experience highly desired.
- No teacher certification or licensure necessary.
- Previous experience in AP courses preferred.
- No AP certification required.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with prescribed curriculum and learning goals.
- Assess students’ progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and enriching learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student progress and any concerns.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
- Adherent to C2 Educational Systems Inc.'s policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, relevant to the position and the needs of the students.
