The Therapist provides crisis intervention, intake assessment, individual, family and group therapy to adults, children and families with a history of mental illness. This includes coordinating support services to assist clients with independent living. The Therapist is responsible for monitoring and maintaining documentation of client services within clients' charts, ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures, Department of Mental Health contract and other related agencies' standards and guidelines. Adult Mental Health provides behavioral health services to single adults or adult parents. SHIELDS offers behavioral health as a component of the SUD services, family services, and child welfare services we offer. Any participants in a SHIELDS program can additionally enroll in Adult Mental Health. Additionally, SHIELDS registers walk-ins or those referred from the community.
