The AOG Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing defects of non-scheduled maintenance and completing all return to service paperwork. The technician must maintain an at-ready status and be prepared for dispatch to a given assignment, providing AOG recovery support when needed. Daily coordination with the Maintenance Control Department regarding all current DMIs and Advisory Notices is essential, along with assisting in troubleshooting and initiating corrective actions for these items. The technician will maintain contact with Maintenance Control regarding the progress of current assignments and forward copies of repair information to Maintenance Control as work is completed. Additionally, the technician will coordinate with Technical Services, Engineering, or any assigned department to repair defects and provide technical support to all maintenance personnel when needed. Monitoring current and historical data for chronic or repetitive discrepancies on aircraft systems is also part of the role, along with performing other duties as directed by the Manager of Maintenance Control.
