About The Position

The Quality Assurance and Control Specialist will be responsible for understanding deposit regulations and demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures set by the bank that relate to all areas of the deposit operations, including a proficient knowledge of the bank’s core operating system, including reports produced to help assist in daily job functions and the document management system. This individual will perform quality assurance on all deposit documents, verifying account maintenance and data entry from various departments and identify issues with work quality and accuracy. The Quality Assurance and Control Specialist is responsible for Identifying, reporting, and resolving issues or problems with work that does not meet quality control guidelines and working with appropriate departments as necessary to resolve issues or errors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions, short correspondence, memos and other documents.
  • Ability to write correspondence effectively.
  • Ability to effectively communicate or present information to others.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Strong analytical and problem - solving skills.
  • Proficient PC skills and understanding of the standard office software such as Microsoft word, Excel, and outlook.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to discriminate data.

Nice To Haves

  • Two or more years banking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Quality Controls IRA/HSA Accounts following the guidelines set forth by regulatory requirements placed on Retirement and Health Savings Accounts.
  • Processes Levies/Garnishments ensuring all regulatory and legal responsibilities are covered.
  • Verify Center Doc reports and Check Card reports daily.
  • Responsible for Abandoned Property, collecting, reporting and remitting abandoned property to the State of Kentucky when outreach attempts are unsuccessful and no contact with the client has occurred within a specified period of time. This includes filing escheatment reports to the state, reviewing the various laws, identifying which properties are eligible and due for escheatment, compiling and formatting the report, physically filing the report with the appropriate state agency, and, ultimately, delivering the assets in accordance with the reporting jurisdiction's law.
  • Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of Regulation CC Holds, reviewing daily holds, ensuring compliance, procedural and documentation accuracy.
  • Prepares all documents, reports, etc. that are required within the job description for storage using established procedures for retaining documents and labeling boxes for storage.
