About The Position

A top AmLaw 100 platform is adding an antitrust associate to its merger clearance team in Washington, DC. This group is consistently in the middle of HSR strategy, Second Requests, and high-stakes reviews in tech and life sciences, with the DC bench deeply tied to agency-facing work.

Requirements

3–6 years of antitrust experience with a real mergers mix.
Hands-on Second Request experience (not just “supporting” from the sidelines).
Comfort owning workstreams, giving clean guidance to deal teams, and keeping timelines moving under agency pressure.
Strong academics and crisp writing.

Responsibilities

Advise on U.S. merger control, including HSR filings, agency strategy, timing, advocacy, and remediation planning.
Run substantive and process work for Second Request compliance, including custodians, collections, review workflows, and production strategy.
Manage a 2R review day-to-day, including supervising associates and contract review teams.
Work across industries, with frequent exposure to technology and life sciences matters.
