Anticipated Special Education Teacher
About The Position
Springfield Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support for students with a wide range of learning, behavioral, emotional, and physical disabilities. The successful candidate will collaborate with related service providers, child study team members, administrators, teachers, students, and families to ensure access to the curriculum and promote academic, social, and emotional growth. Preferred candidates will have experience teaching in self-contained settings and a demonstrated commitment to implementing evidence-based and data-driven instructional practices that support student achievement.
Requirements
- Must hold a CE/CEAS/Provisional or Standard Certificate in (1001) Elementary Education Teacher and (2475) Teacher of Students with Disabilities or (2470) Teacher of the Handicapped.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
- TB Screening/Physical.
