About The Position

The Program Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in ensuring the effective operation, compliance, and continuous improvement of departmental programs. This position requires strict adherence to all federal and state regulations , maintaining full compliance within the department’s jurisdiction and operational scope. The supervisor is also responsible for providing instructional leadership , including teaching assigned classes and modeling effective instructional practices aligned with district standards. In collaboration with district leadership, the supervisor establishes, communicates, and monitors departmental goals and objectives , ensuring alignment with district-wide priorities while staying informed of current trends, research, and best practices within the field of education. The Program Supervisor also plays an essential role in hiring and staffing , from posting vacancies and interviewing candidates to onboarding and mentoring new employees. This leadership extends to professional development , where the supervisor both facilitates and participates in training opportunities that enhance instructional quality and staff effectiveness. Oversight of curriculum and course development is another key area, encompassing curriculum updates, material acquisition, and collaboration with high school administration on educational planning. Finally, the supervisor maintains accurate budget and inventory records , ensuring fiscal responsibility in managing books, supplies, and equipment in accordance with district policies. Overall, the Program Supervisor serves as a vital link between administration, staff, and the community—guiding educational excellence and organizational integrity across all departmental functions. Beyond internal operations, the Program Supervisor fosters community partnerships and outreach , promoting collaboration between the school district and external organizations.
