About The Position

The position is for an anticipated leave replacement School Psychologist within the Student Personnel Services department. The effective date for this role is estimated to be from September 30, 2025, through March 21, 2026. This is a temporary, full-time position that offers medical benefits dependent upon the length of the leave. The role is governed by the terms and conditions of the negotiated Agreement between the Educational Association of Paramus (EAP) and the Board of Education. The School Psychologist will report to the Director of Student Personnel Services/Supervisor of Mental Health and Student Support Services.

Requirements

• New Jersey School Psychologist Certification
• New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate
• Controlled substance testing and successful completion of criminal history background check are required.

Responsibilities

• Enable students to derive the fullest possible educational experience from school by promoting their positive sense of self and others.
• Identify all exceptional students and enhance their educational experience through recommending appropriate services and providing supportive counseling.
• Promote a school-wide atmosphere of cooperation and mutual help.
