LJI's anti-human trafficking model focuses on transit monitoring. We identify, intercept, and assist trafficking victims as they are being transported—when victims and traffickers are the most visible and open to detection—and before they reach the destination where victims will be sold, hidden, and abused. Because the crime of trafficking has already commenced, we have access to actionable intelligence to apprehend suspects and understand trafficking methods. We have intercepted over 100,000 individuals to prevent them from being trafficked, and we have helped convict over 2,000 traffickers. To ensure excellence and understanding among our field offices in Asia and Africa, Love Justice is in the process of translating our most important documents. There are a variety of documents, such as forms, instruction manuals, training materials, and posters that need translation. Love Justice currently internally translates into seven target languages (Amharic, Bangla, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Nepali, and Portuguese. Accurate and timely translations are crucial to the understanding of our national partners, and as the Anti-Trafficking Translation Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring this by: 1) executing several translation projects and 2) researching and/or developing training materials for our other translators. This internship period is from June 1 - July 31, 2026, is based in Ballito, South Africa, and reports to the Program Field Officer.
