About the Role: The Bank is undertaking a significant investment to improve the effectiveness of its Anti-Money Laundering (AML) solutions across all of its businesses. As these investments cross many technology silos, a Senior Product Owner is needed to ensure effective coordination across numerous non-production environments that needed to be integrated for effective System Integration Testing (SIT), user acceptance, process design validation and product owner acceptance testing. Job Description: The individual in this role will work with technology leaders aligned to the numerous Anti-money Laundering applications supporting our Consumer, Wealth Management, Private Banking, Global Banking and Markets businesses. In addition, this individual will act as the Overall Test Approver for technology deliverables associated the AML Regulatory Remediation program. This job is responsible for maximizing the value for one or more products. Key responsibilities include working with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with product owners or specialists to ensure they are aligning on priorities. Job expectations include ensuring delivery of products that meet client expectations, including features, security, availability, resiliency, timelines and costs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience with Anti-Money Laundering as it relates to individuals
  • Deep experience in developing UIs / UX best practices
  • Ability to negotiate with multiple parties and find acceptable compromise
  • Ability to manage in a time-constrained environment
  • Can effectively hold others accountable in a matrixed organization
  • Sharp analytical thinker
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Rigorously follow the Bank's Enterprise Change Management standards to capture business requirements in Jira
  • Drive business requirements by Anti-Money Laundering law, rule and regulation changes in the ~40 jurisdictions where Bank of America's Global Banking and Global Markets business operate
  • Partner with operations Product Owners as well as Development teams to refine Epic level Acceptance Criteria into achievable solutions relative to the capabilities of the AWARE application (AML Workflow and Rules Engine)
  • Participate in daily standups during development & testing, answering questions on the requirements needed for development and testing
  • Oversees the budget(s) for one or more products by working closely with finance partners on both personnel and non-personnel expenses
  • Provides input into defining business capabilities and aligning them to products or creating new products to support them
  • Ensures product availability by partnering closely with demand and capacity teammates
  • Develops business cases for new products and additional features for existing products
  • Partners with the product owners and the teams to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and subject-matter expertise and understanding of the business and industry trends
