About The Position

Your mission is to accelerate the development of the novel antenna technologies that are at the core of our next-generation approach to LEO satellite communications. You will be responsible for research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration - leading to the rapid deployment these technologies in an operational satellite constellation.

Requirements

Experience / research with one of the following: Frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) Meta-material / Meta-surfaces
Experience with antenna design. Open to any antennas but preferably one of the following: Reflector array / reflectarray Transmitter array / transmitarray Electronically scanned antennas (ESAs)
Experience with one or multiple of the following: RF design Component characterization PCB layout / PCB design
Strong in simulation, ANSYS HFSS, but also open to CST
Due to ITAR compliance requirements, must be a US Persons (Green Card or US Citizen)
Masters or PhD

Nice To Haves

Experience with system simulation tools like Python or MATLAB.
Familiarity with range testing and ability to operate relevant test equipment.
Experience designing antennas for PCB manufacturability.
Broader experience of RF/microwave systems (particularly 10.7 GHz - 51.4 GHz).
Experience with passive RF component characterization.
Experience with near field antenna range testing.
Experience with advanced beamforming methods.
Experience using automation for RF design analysis.
Experience with space-qualified systems.

Responsibilities

Conduct research, simulation, design, optimization, testing, and calibration of antenna technologies.
Develop and implement novel antenna technologies for LEO satellite communications.
Utilize electromagnetic simulation tools like HFSS, CST, or FEKO for antenna design.
Analyze and interpret testing results in collaboration with the antenna team.
