Selected candidates for an Level One Anodize Operator position will learn tasks that support the Anodize and Chem-Treat departments. A Level 1 Anodize Operator will be expected to perform a variety of support functions which include but are not limited to racking, unracking, and cleaning of production aerospace parts. Candidates must be s elf-disciplined and self-motivated individuals with strong accountability (attention to details) skills. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative along with presenting a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adherence to organization safety rules and regulations. Level 1 Anodize Operators will also be performing verifications ensuring that all traces of organic soils, fingerprints, dirt and dust etc. are removed by using solvent cleaners. As a condition of assignment, Level 1 Anodize Operator candidates may be expected to process product controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and/or Export Administration Regulations. Reviewing and assimilating work instructions relating to racking, unracking and cleaning operations. Perform receiving inspections (before processing) as needed and immediately report any damage or discrepancy. Gathers supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, carts (etc). Racking of production parts for cleaning, anodize and chem-treat operations. Cleaning of production parts which include degreasing or manual solvent cleaning. Will require use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during certain tasks (goggles, safety glasses, aprons, boots, gloves, hearing protection, etc) and be expected to comply with safety directives and policy. Will be exposed to chemicals/solvents and occasional fumes, wet/humid conditions, and moderate noise level. Will at times require heavy lifting or use of mechanical hoist for the aid in lifting objects. Work closely with area leadership to complete work and prioritize tasks. Clean, organize and maintain work area as prescribed by supervision. Complete documentation, counting of production parts, computer scanning, package to protect and transport, and other assigned tasks. Position also includes the performance of various duties related to collection and/or storage of Hazardous Waste Use of the type of PPE required for the particular work task(s). Proper disposal of used PPE to work center containers. Proper transfer of work center containers to the correct Hazardous Waste Storage location. Proper work practice and labeling for Waste Collection and Waste Containers. Familiarity with facility emergency procedures and Hazardous Waste Contingency Plan
