The Anode Crew Member will assist full-time staff in data collection, maintaining and modifying the existing cathodic protection system. They will work as part of a team to assist other operations departments with other duties such as vegetation maintenance, structure inspection and repair, and manual labor. Job Description Essential Functions and Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. Maintain, monitor, and install new zinc anodes, cathodic protection test stations, and all other pipeline protection measures in the field Assist in data collection, maintaining and modifying the existing cathodic protection system Utilize various equipment, such as dump trucks, trailers, backhoes, utility tractors, drilling equipment, trenchers, welding equipment, hand and power tools, air power tools, shovels, etc., to complete assigned tasks Perform vegetation maintenance, painting, and cleaning on pipelines, floodway, ROW or in operations facilities/property Build and/or paint fences Operate chainsaws Pull and park utility trailers to job sites Utilize weed eaters, zero turn mowers and/or standard mowers Pick up trash along ROW and/or floodway May supervise day laborers Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts Perform other duties as required
