This position is responsible for processing tasks in Annuity Operations in a timely and efficient manner. In addition, this role will focus on complex issues and may be tasked to provide training for both new and existing associates. What you are good at: Analytical ability – Able to effectively review information and data in order to identify issues and opportunities Communication – Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing amongst all levels across the firm Time Management – Working efficiently and planning how to divide your time between different tasks and projects Building Relationships– Connecting with others in a way that fosters trust and creates collaborative relationships

Requirements

  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Self-directed with an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and multi-task effectively across various projects
  • Ability to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Efficient problem-solving skills with an ability to provide solutions in a pro-active, timely manner.
  • An effective team player
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications and ability to quickly learn new systems and platforms when needed
  • Ability to demonstrate Janney values
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in operations/financial industry
  • At least 1-3 years of related experience in Annuities and Insurance and/or investment industry knowledge strongly preferred

Nice To Haves

  • FINRA Series 7 or Series 99 license is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Providing exceptional client service
  • Utilize analytical skills to identify possible process and workflow enhancements
  • Performing reconciliation functions
  • Corresponding with Financial Advisors, insurance carriers, and outside vendors
  • Collaborating effectively with other operations teams to solve issues
  • Supporting onboarding of new financial advisors
  • Working closely with teammates to balance workload
  • Help assist with projects within the team
  • Designing, testing, and implementing system enhancements to improve workflow and overall client experience
