Annuity and Group Life Administrator $54,673-$67,795 minimum starting pay Job Level: Individual Contributor Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. What You Will Be Doing: Underwrite deferred and immediate annuity applications. Responsible for administration of group life coverage. Make decisions regarding acceptability of forms and applications. Provide expert customer service and technical assistance to policyholders and certificate holders, Agents, and internal departments. Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present information to internal and external customers
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions
  • Ability to interpret and understand advanced annuity and life insurance policy provisions, tax laws, and legal documents
  • Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy in the application of math skills
  • Ability to evaluate facts and make sound decisions based on product knowledge and company procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of computer operation including mainframe, MS Office suite, email and calendar, Internet basics, and document imaging
  • Ability to balance and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and willingness to complete two LOMA or CLU courses in the first year and two courses in the second year toward completion of designation is expected
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
