About The Position

The Annual Fund Manager reports to the Senior Director of Philanthropy & Advocacy and is responsible for planning, executing, and growing Peak Vista Community Health Centers’ annual giving programs. This role oversees multi-channel fundraising initiatives including direct mail, digital and online giving, monthly giving, employee giving, and special giving days. The Annual Fund Manager focuses on the solicitation, stewardship, and retention of donors contributing $999 or less annually, ensuring a positive and meaningful donor experience from first contact through acknowledgement and ongoing engagement. The position builds strong donor relationships through thoughtful organization, clear communication, and data-informed strategies, while staying current on trends in annual fund and healthcare philanthropy. This role works closely with internal staff, volunteers, and the Peak Vista Foundation Board, as well as external vendors, to advance Peak Vista’s mission and meet annual fundraising goals.

Requirements

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, tact, and sound judgment.
  • Proficiency in using digital fundraising tools and platforms.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in written donor communications and campaign execution.
  • Ability to analyze fundraising performance, adjust strategies as needed, and respond to changing priorities to ensure revenue goals are met.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with internal and external audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and external partners effectively.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required or 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of bachelors.
  • Work Experience: Four to five years of fundraising/philanthropy or digital engagement experience required, must show a proven track record of successful solicitations.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, fundraising correspondence, and impact statements.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply complex algebraic concepts, to develop campaign tracking systems and reports, and to analyze data.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Forms), Internet software.
  • Proficiency with donor database software or ISP required, DonorPerfect and DonorSearch preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that giving to Peak Vista Community Health Centers is a positive, well-coordinated experience from initial outreach through acknowledgement, stewardship, and ongoing communication.
  • Works with the Senior Director of Philanthropy & Advocacy to develop strategies and campaigns to increase the number of annual fund donors and prospects supporting Peak Vista and to meet budget goals. The Annual Fund portfolio is composed of donors of $999 and less.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of annual fund donors and prospects contributing $999 or less, with a focus on acquisition, renewal, and engagement.
  • Manage outside contractors to develop fundraising tools and plans for each component of Annual Fund fundraising: direct mail, web landing page and donation pages; digital campaigns; social media specific to the fundraising and the Peak Vista Foundation; mobile giving; crowd funding; employee giving; and peer-to-peer campaigns.
  • Oversee the strategy, planning, and execution of Peak Vista’s participation in Giving Tuesday, Colorado Gives, and other giving days, with a focus on increasing both donor participation and total contributions through coordinated messaging, strong performance tracking, and timely donor follow-up.
  • Manage Peak Vista’s involvement in the Empty Stocking Fund (ESF), ensuring that we exceed ESF expectations and engage appropriate stakeholders for activities and events.
  • Plan, initiate, prepare, and distribute appropriate correspondence with staff, volunteers, and donors, maintain follow-up, and coordinate internal projects.
  • Collaborates closely with the Communications and Marketing team to ensure fundraising messages, imagery, and online forms are cohesive, accurate, and aligned with Peak Vista’s mission and brand.
  • Leverage available contribution tax credit programs, including the Pikes Peak Enterprise Zone, to increase donor participation and maximize philanthropic impact.
  • Collect and organize impact data, stories, and testimonials that demonstrate the value and outcomes of donor support and incorporate this information into donor communications and stewardship efforts.
  • Provide support for broader Philanthropy Department activities, including events, campaigns, and donor stewardship initiatives such as the Breakfast of Champions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of Peak Vista’s fundraising and advocacy goals.
