About The Position

The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Neuro ICU at Baptist Jacksonville plays a crucial role in supporting the Nurse Manager with the operations of the unit. This position focuses on ensuring high-quality patient care, facilitating patient throughput, and implementing process changes. The Assistant Nurse Manager will also engage in direct patient care as needed, oversee staffing and scheduling, and conduct leadership rounds and audits to maintain safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Charge experience in a nursing role
• 1-2 years of Neurology experience
• 1-2 years of Stroke experience
• Leadership experience in nursing
• Charge Nurse experience

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (SCRN) certification
• Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager with unit operations and patient care delivery.
• Facilitate and implement process changes within the unit.
• Conduct shift quality and safety huddles.
• Support and coach team members in their development.
• Take direct patient care assignments as needed.
• Manage staffing and scheduling of unit personnel.
• Conduct leadership rounds and daily audits as assigned.
• Provide service recovery as needed.
