About The Position

The Animation & Illustration Artist will design and create 2D and 3D animation art for various projects related to Monster Trucks, including helmets, fire suits, and crew shirts. This role involves illustrating initial concepts and implementing computer-generated designs, ensuring that brand identity is maintained throughout the creative process. The artist will work collaboratively within a fast-paced team environment, taking direction and feedback to produce original concepts that align with the producers' vision.

Requirements

• BA in Graphic Design, Animation, Film, or a related field preferred, or 5+ years of professional experience.
• Expert skills in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Proficient in tracking and compositing in Adobe After Effects.
• Proficient in Cinema 4D or Maya 3D.
• Strong sense of design and typography.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on Mac or PC platforms.
• Experience in project management software like Adobe Workfront or Smart Sheet.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Expert skills in hand/computer illustration.

Nice To Haves

• Expert skills in 2D (vector) character animations (preferred but not required).
• Experience in Toon Boom Harmony and After Effects puppeted-style animation (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, illustrate, and design 2D/3D monster truck intellectual property (IP).
• Design custom fire suits, crew shirts, logos, and helmet designs around IP, ensuring brand identity is prioritized.
• Present fresh and creative ideas while collaborating with the department team.
• Maintain sharp attention to detail across multiple projects.
• Manage and work on 5+ projects simultaneously based on event needs and timelines.
