About The Position
Under limited supervision, the Animal Shelter Manager is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and administration of shelter operations. This role involves managing personnel to ensure humane handling conditions, a safe and sanitary environment for the animals and people, and compliance with state and federal laws. Responsibilities include revising and developing procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, reviewing and approving purchases, and establishing operational goals. The manager will encourage the expansion of existing programs and the establishment of new programs, reporting to the Division Captain.
