The role requires investigating complaints concerning stray, vicious, sick or injured animals and reports of cruelty to animals, issuing citations to owners in violation of animal control regulations, and preparing reports needed for legal action. The individual will also respond to removal orders, explain reasons for animal removal, and may assist in euthanasia.
