The Animal Control Officer is responsible for the enforcement of city and state regulations regarding animals within the city limits. This role involves investigating animal complaints, providing education and information to the public about animal-related issues, and patrolling for loose, stray, sick, or injured animals. The officer captures, impounds, transports, and removes deceased animals from roadways, maintains records, prepares and submits reports to supervisors, and works a flexible schedule as needed. The minimum starting salary is $20.20 - $24.95 per hour, with competitive benefits available. Eligible experience, education, and expertise may provide a greater starting base pay within the full pay range.
