About The Position
The Animal Control Officer I or II is responsible for enforcing animal ordinances and ensuring the health and safety of animals within Gwinnett County. This role involves both kennel operations and fieldwork, including responding to citizen complaints, maintaining animal health records, and assisting in investigations of animal cruelty. Officers will be trained in various aspects of animal control and may be assigned to either kennel or field operations after a structured training period.
