About The Position
The Animal Caretaker I, under direct supervision, assists and supports faculty and technicians in providing animal care to lab and teaching facilities. This includes assisting with handling and restraint of teaching animals; animal husbandry; cleaning kennel areas, classrooms, lab space, and large animal teaching environments; laundry, feeding, routine observations; operating mechanical equipment; performing minor maintenance and repair; and providing occasional student worker direction.
