About The Position
The Animal Care Technician at the City of Independence Animal Shelter is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care and enrichment for shelter animals. This role involves shelter cleaning, animal care, laundry, and dishwashing, and requires cross-training to provide care for both feline and canine animals. The technician will work under the direction of the Animal Care Supervisor and perform various duties as assigned.
