About The Position

A research facility is hiring an Animal Care Technician to provide daily care, health monitoring, and handling of livestock in a laboratory setting (Biosafety Level 2). This role supports research studies and involves feeding, cleaning, equipment maintenance, and collecting clinical samples.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology or 2+ years of relevant animal care experience
• Experience with livestock handling, veterinary support, or animal research
• Must be comfortable working around animals and free of animal/feed dust allergies

Responsibilities

• Provide food, water, enrichment, and basic care for animals
• Clean pens and maintain animal housing equipment
• Monitor animal health and report concerns to the veterinarian
• Assist with clinical treatments, sample collection, and post-mortem procedures
• Follow animal welfare guidelines and research protocols
• Document care activities and study data accurately
