No problem—we provide hands-on training to help you succeed. As an Animal Care Technician, you’ll provide essential care and support for research animals.
Requirements
- Must be 18+ and able to read/write English.
- Overtime and weekend work required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma, 6–12 months animal care or related experience.
Responsibilities
- Feed and care for all species within the animal facility.
- Change soiled cages and bedding; clean and sanitize animal pens and rooms.
- Operate cage washers and tunnel washers; maintain sanitation records.
- Remove waste and bedding from animal pans.
- Document all cleaning and sanitation practices accurately.
- Observe animals daily for health and report any concerns.
- Assist with record keeping, inventory, and laundry tasks.
