About The Position

The incumbent follows well-established laboratory procedures to complete work. Sensitive or unusual situations are referred to the supervisor. Work is frequently reviewed for accuracy and to ensure adherence to research. This position starts at $17.00 but will increase to $18.00 after 6 months of employment.

Requirements

• GED or HS Diploma or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and feeding.
• Tank cleaning.
• Dish washing.
• Careful adherence to research protocols.
• Maintains routine record keeping of such items as environmental conditions and animal inventory.
• Observes and communicates animal health conditions to lab personnel and notifies supervisor of abnormal conditions.
• Distributes supplies to various research areas.
