About The Position

Playful Pups Retreat at our Milton Grove Road North location in Elizabethtown, PA is seeking a full-time or part-time, Animal Care Supervisor / Shift Lead to oversee daily operations and support our team in delivering exceptional care to our clients and their pets. In this role, you play a key part in the smooth operation of our facility. You'll assign and oversee daily tasks for your team, ensuring shifts run efficiently and all responsibilities are completed. You'll actively supervise dog playgroups, monitoring interactions and stepping in to address any concerns as needed. In addition, you'll assist with feedings, administer medications as scheduled, and support daily cleaning and sanitation efforts throughout the facility. Your compassion, patience, and leadership help ensure every dog receives exceptional care. You take pride in supporting your team and contributing to the overall success of our operation.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Some professional experience handling dogs
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and working outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Are you reliable, punctual, and an effective communicator?
  • Do you lead with kindness and confidence?
  • Can you juggle multiple responsibilities while keeping a positive attitude?

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a dog daycare, boarding facility, or as a dog trainer is a plus
