About The Position
The Animal Care Officer is responsible for providing care for animals both in and out of the shelter. This includes maintaining, feeding, and giving water to the animals, as well as providing basic medical aid and cleaning animal cages and shelter grounds. The officer will also patrol the city to investigate animal cruelty and neglect, promote compliance with animal treatment laws, and perform animal rescue activities. Additional duties include educating pet owners and writing reports of activities.
