About The Position

Job Description: Seeking a self-motivated, multi-tasking, organized, student employee who can demonstrate verbal and written communication skills. May work approximately 5-15 hrs/week, available M – F from 7 am to 5 pm and weekends for a couple hours before noon (hours are variable and flexible). If possible, available during school breaks. Schedule of days you work is flexible around other members of the team as long as work is getting done. Requirements

  • Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs and push heavy carts.
  • Must be willing to work with various species (sheep, goats, rabbits, mice and rats).
  • Must be a current CSU student.

Nice To Haves

  • Willing to gain experience in animal handling with sheep, goats, pigs, rabbits, rats and mice.
  • Learn to prep animals for surgery, clipping, catheter placement and blood draws.
  • Learn about GLP procedures and protocols along with the protocol development and IACUC guidelines.
