About The Position
ShotVet is seeking an Animal Care Assistant for their weekend mobile clinics. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals who love animals and are looking to start a career in veterinary care, assisting veterinarians in providing affordable pet vaccine and wellness clinics for dogs and cats. The role requires travel and coverage during the busy summer season (May-July). Paid training is provided, and students/new graduates are welcome.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- HS Diploma or GED
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Reliable and team-oriented
Nice To Haves
- Existing knowledge in Preventative Wellness for pets
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during pet vaccine clinics
- Handle and comfort dogs and cats
- Help with check-in, paperwork, and client support
- Support clinic setup and breakdown
