Requirements

Any combination of education and experience which would likely produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Valid Texas Driver’s License with insurable driving record
Any equivalent combination of education and experience to be able to perform the essential functions of the job would meet the education and experience criteria.
Open Water Dive certification required at minimum
First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Administering Emergency Oxygen certification

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of food according to established procedure.
Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of utensils and equipment used to feed and care for animals.
Assist in facility maintenance of the animal areas.
Perform water quality duties.
Enter Data into TRACKS.
Complete animal behavioral observations and report abnormalities to supervisor.
Participate and dive in both daily and evening underwater programs
Perform maintenance of dive equipment
Perform dive duties in exhibits
Assist with coordinating dive volunteers.
Adhere to all governmental/AZA policies regarding acquisition, husbandry, records, and animal health.
