The Animal Adoption Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all adoption and rescue-related functions at the animal shelter. Primary duties include oversight of adoption and rescue processes on all platforms - email, phone, and in person. The coordinator will assist with all guest services, daily animal care operations, communication with supporting veterinarians, record keeping, animal intake, and volunteer communication and oversight. Difficult problems are referred to a supervisor. Courtesy, tact, and firmness are required in dealing with the general public in a variety of situations, some of which may be stressful. General supervision is received from a Shelter Supervisor who evaluates performance based on observation and discussions concerning the effectiveness of carrying out instructions.
