Requirements

  • Current State of Idaho RN license in good standing.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS) within six months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification or obtain within 90 days of date of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with all invasive vascular and interventional procedures.
  • Demonstrate clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to providing quality patient care.
  • Be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that take place in interventional radiology.
  • Facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
  • Use appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.
  • Assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and site monitoring.
  • Manage emergent cases.
  • Maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records and complete all paperwork associated with these procedures.
