About The Position
Carle Health is seeking an additional BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join our expanding Anesthesia team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois. This position offers the opportunity to work in a Level I Trauma hospital with a diverse range of cases, including Open Heart, Trauma, and Neurosurgical cases. The hospital has 22 ORs running on blocks, averaging 75 cases per day, and provides services across various departments including Digestive Health Institute, Interventional Labs, OB, Radiology, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. The call schedule is approximately 1:8, and the majority of cases involve medical direction of CRNAs. There is also an opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation's first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering.
