The Anesthesiology Academics Program/Project Coordinator is responsible for the comprehensive coordination and administrative activities of medical student and residency/fellowship programs within the assigned department. This role involves managing various program activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and acting as a liaison between residents, fellows, and affiliated hospitals. The coordinator must demonstrate strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to effectively support the program and its participants.

  • Establish administrative and office management systems for the department.
  • Maintain personnel files for house officers, fellows, and students, ensuring compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
  • Generate and maintain call schedules, yearly schedules, and conference schedules.
  • Monitor expenses and budgets for the residency program, preparing reports for the Finance Department.
  • Serve as an advisor to residents, fellows, and students on various issues.
  • Generate documents for residents, including keys, pagers, and office supplies.
  • Assist with grant management and maintain residency training grant stipends.
  • Schedule meetings and make travel arrangements for the Director.
  • Establish and maintain filing systems and database records for the office.
  • Coordinate all payroll functions and departmental competencies.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of strategic administrative support experience in Graduate Medical Education (GME) preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with residency management software.
  • Knowledge of ACGME accreditation processes.
  • Competitive hourly pay ranging from $29.87 to $46.30.
